Family trip is planned in celebration of Allisons’ 50th wedding anniversary
X TAMPA, Fla. — The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Gil Allison of Tampa will be celebrated in June as they are joined by their family for a 10-day trip that will include visits to Bar Harbor, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
Among the family members who have planned the event and will be taking part in the festivities are Katy Allison, Fran and Hank Lavandera and their son, Joseph Lavandera, all of Tampa, and Tom Allison of Hinsdale, N.H.
The former Peg Moran of Boardman and Gil Allison of Salem were united in marriage May 17, 1958, at St. Charles Church in Boardman. They moved to Florida in 1969 and are members of St. Clements Catholic Church in Plant City, Fla., and of Walden Lake Country Club.
Mrs. Allison was an operator with Bell Telephone in Boardman prior to retiring in 1967.
Mr. Allison served with the U.S. Army and retired in 1990 as state director of engineering and construction with General Telephone of Florida in Tampa. He belongs to the Elks Club.
