staff report
WARREN – A 21-year-old Pennsylvania man is in the Trumbull County Jail facing charges stemming from a 2007 hit-skip accident in which a motorcyclist was killed.
Dewayne M. Redinger Jr., of Stoneboro, was charged Friday with aggravated vehicular homicide, tampering with evidence and failure to stop after an accident, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Warren post at Southington.
The Aug. 16, 2007, crash at state Route 82 and Collar Price Road in Brookfield Township resulted in the death of cyclist Michael Brown, 32, of Youngstown.
The patrol said at the time that Brown, who was wearing a helmet, was westbound on Route 82. The pickup truck was northbound on Collar Price, went through the stop sign and into the path of the cycle.
Redinger will be arraigned Monday morning at Trumbull County Eastern District Court in Brookfield.
