HUBBARD

May 2

Criminal damaging: A man flattened a vehicle’s tire at a West Liberty Street business.

May 3

Theft: A man reported the theft of checks from his car at his home in the 1000 block of Waugh Drive.

Assault: A Canfield man who works for a North Main Street business alleged his employer assaulted him.

Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 100 block of Mackey Street and took copper piping.

Criminal mischief: Police questioned four juveniles after a driver on East Park Avenue reported someone threw rocks at his car.

Theft: A Stewart Avenue resident reported the theft of coins.

LIBERTY

May 2

Threats: A Tibbetts-Wick Road woman alleged a neighbor pointed a handgun at her and threatened to shoot her as part of an ongoing dispute.

Theft: A Redfern Drive man reported a property marker was removed from his yard.

Theft: A Struthers man, 33, was accused of pumping $29.86 worth of gasoline and leaving a BP station, 2703 Belmont Ave., without paying.

May 3

Aggravated menacing: A Belmont Avenue woman reported two people dropped off near her home threatened her son. She also said the driver of a green Pontiac had a firearm and stopped in front of her residence. No charges had been filed at the time of the report.

Theft: An employee with a Motor Inn Drive motel suspected a 25-year-old friend of taking $450 from her purse.

Threats: A Garfield Avenue man told authorities two acquaintances notified him that an 18-year-old Girard man was planning to shoot him, a result of an ongoing conflict between the accuser and the teen’s family.

Menacing: A Tuttle Drive woman told officers that when she asked her 16-year-old grandson to leave, the boy threatened to return with a gun.

May 4

Vandalism: Police received a report of someone tampering with a vehicle’s exhaust system at a Gypsy Lane business, apparently as the person tried to steal the car’s catalytic converter.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A James Lane man said his girlfriend, 36, took his 1990 Ford and other property without consent.

Aggravated menacing: Two Youngstown men, 20 and 24, as well as a 23-year-old Girard man, faced charges of aggravated menacing and aggravated trespassing after a woman reported three people harassed her son, came onto her property, threatened to shoot her residence and implied they would harm the occupants.

May 5

Criminal trespassing: Police issued a summons to a 47-year-old Youngstown man charging him with criminal trespassing after saying they saw someone with a wooden club peering into a window at a business in the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A man in the 1800 block of Pleasant Valley Road discovered his truck’s windshield was smashed and a headlight broken.

Theft: A man in the 6700 block of Sodom-Hutchings Road reported electric tools, a gas detector, compact discs and other property stolen from his vehicle. The loss came to $1,800.

Theft/criminal damaging: Two Logan Arms Drive residents reported someone broke into their vehicles, damaged the dashboards and removed the stereo faceplates. One man also reported his wallet missing.

Theft: A man in the 5700 block of Logan Arms Drive reported a football, a flashlight, $40 and his wallet stolen from his car.

Criminal damaging: Someone used a piece of a concrete building block to damage a vehicle’s driver’s-side mirror and body in the 1000 block of Leslie Lane. Also, a vehicle’s windshield was found shattered in the 1100 block.

Criminal damaging: An East Liberty Street man noticed a key had been used to damage the finish on both sides of his mother’s vehicle.

GIRARD

May 2

Identity fraud: A Washington Avenue girl and her father alleged the teenager’s mother placed a cable bill in the daughter’s name.

Criminal mischief: Police on patrol in the 1000 block of Beechwood Avenue discovered a large piece of concrete in the road and found dents and scratches on a vehicle nearby.

May 3

Criminal mischief: A Youngstown man, 19, a Campbell man, 22, and a 24-year-old Mineral Ridge man faced criminal-mischief charges after officers got a report of people spray-painting a vehicle on East Howard Street. One of the men confessed the crime, the report said.

Arrest: A Girard man, 46, was taken into custody on Church Hill Road and charged with disorderly conduct after authorities responded to a shoplifting report at a nearby store. The intoxicated man lingered around the business and gave an incorrect Social Security number, the report showed.

May 4

Threats: A Cincinnati man told police four men threatened to kill him on South Market Street.

Criminal damaging: A Shannon Road woman reported her vehicle’s front windshield was broken, resulting in a $500 damage estimate.

May 5

Domestic violence: A 46-year-old woman was arrested at her Wilson Avenue home and charged after her daughter alleged the woman punched her in the left eye and grabbed and pushed her during an argument. The mother also reported being a victim.

Theft: The owner of a South State Street business discovered 20 tax forms missing from a filing cabinet.

Attempted breaking and entering: Someone pried open the door to a shed at a Water Street church, but no entry was made.

May 6

Breaking and entering: A worker with Cartown Motors, 423 S. State St., arrived to find a shed had been entered. Stolen were two lawn mowers, two aluminum rims and a toolbox, for a loss of $3,950.
