Indians trade Jason Michaels to Pirates

The Cleveland Indians traded outfielder Jason Michaels and cash to the Pittsburgh Pirates for a player to be named.

Michaels was designated for assignment by the Indians Tuesday after batting .207 (12-58) with 3 runs scored, 4 doubles and 9 RBIs in 21 games for the Indians this year.
