YOUNGSTOWN — Police found a loaded gun in a car after they found the vehicle’s occupants engaged in a sex act late Tuesday night on the South Side, reports show.
The driver, Alex Weiss, 35, of East Myrtle Avenue was charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, soliciting and slow speed. He was arraigned today in municipal court and bond was set at $10,000.
His passenger, Roberta S. Thomas, 40, of West Lucius Avenue was charged with prostitution and also served with an outstanding warrant for loitering for prostitution issued April 24. She was released on her own recognizance at arraignment today.
Members of the Street Crimes Unit who came upon Weiss’ car on Overland Avenue said it failed to proceed through the intersection at Falls Avenue.
