Gretta Tornabene, Robert Patrick Jr. to wed in August

X BOARDMAN — Robert Sr. and Mary Patrick, 131 Brainard Drive, announce the engagement of their son, Robert E. Patrick Jr. of Akron, and Gretta A. Tornabene, daughter of Timothy and Judith Tornabene, all of 210 Watson Circle, New Philadelphia.

Invitations will be extended for the couple’s 7 p.m. wedding Aug. 22 on the beach at Roanoke Island, N.C., and for a reception to follow.

Miss Tornabene, a graduate of Kent State University, works for Stark County Education Service and is pursuing a master’s degree in special education at KSU.

The prospective groom, a KSU graduate with a degree in political science, is employed by the City of Akron. He is a veteran of the war in Iraq, having served from 2000 to 2008 as a member of the U.S. Army National Guard.
