Renewable energy

On the farm

Examples of renewable energy sources being employed by farmers:

Solar: Collectors capture heat from the sun and use it to heat buildings and water.

Wind: The blades of windmill-like turbines are spun by the wind, generating electricity.

Hydrogen: A machine uses electricity and water to produce hydrogen, which can be used instead of gasoline and propane.

Biomass: Waste oil is converted to diesel fuel.
