Officials plan to discuss Healthy Families Act

AUSTINTOWN — Officials representing the National Federation of Independent Business/Ohio will discuss the proposed Ohio Healthy Families Act and how it could affect businesses. The Area Action Council meeting will be from noon to 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Comfort Inn, 5425 Clarkins Drive.

The legislation would require all employers with 25 or more employees to provide seven paid sick days to all full-time employees. This new mandate would also require a reduced amount of paid sick days for part-time employees.

The cost is $15 and includes lunch. To register, call (614) 221-4107 or send an e-mail to Andy Patterson at Andy.Patterson@nfib.org.
