DeCarlos celebrate 60th anniversary on Fla. vacation
X Mr. and Mrs. Matthew J. DeCarlo, residents of Boardman and Stuart, Fla., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner March 23 at the Prawnbroker Restaurant in Stuart during their annual Easter holiday vacation.
The couple’s children and grandchildren hosted the celebration. They are Karen and Anthony Thomas and Leanna and David Kemble, all of Canfield; Matthew Thomas of Miamisburg; Renee and James Drentkiewicz of Mars, Pa.; and Janice and Tony Felt of Fairfax, Va.
Their friends from the Stuart Conquistador Condominiums hosted another celebration for the couple April 7. A dinner party took place at Jerry’s LaFamiglia Restaurant in Stuart, followed by a dessert buffet in Building Six.
The former Thomasine Flask and Mr. DeCarlo were united in marriage April 7, 1948, at St. Anthony Church, Youngstown. They are members of Holy Family Church in Poland.
Mr. DeCarlo retired from the Youngstown Fire Department as a captain in 1981. His wife retired as secretary-treasurer from Union Distributing Co. in 1982.
