POSTPONED Indians vs. Royals

Washout: The Cleveland Indians’ scheduled game against the Kansas City Royals Friday night was postponed by rain. No makeup date was announced and both managers said they would use Friday’s scheduled starters today. Royals right-hander Luke Hochevar (1-1) will oppose Cleveland left-hander C.C. Sabathia — weather permitting, of course. More rain is in the forecast. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Sunday: Indians left-hander Aaron Laffey (0-1) is scheduled to face Royals right-hander Gil Meche (1-4) in a 1:05 p.m. game at Progressive Field.
