X McDonald Parents of Performing Arts will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the senior citizens room at post office building.
X Poland Center Homemakers will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Poland Center United Methodist Church for a casserole lunch and bead craft project. Hostesses are Mary Jane Guidos and Rose Scarfo. Members should take a needle, dental floss and scissors.
XWarren’s Women’s Connection plans a “Beautify Your World” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 12 at Aulizio’s Banquet Center, 4395 Youngstown-Warren Road (Route 422). The event will feature Marge Lardas, a master gardener, who will demonstrate container gardening. Soloist Bonnie Baughman will provide music, and the speaker, Lisa Haley, will share her experience in staying afloat when life capsizes you. The cost is $10 per person, all inclusive. X Youngstown Diocesan Council of Catholic Women is having its biannual meeting May 21 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 North Lipkey Road, North Jackson. Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 8:15 a.m.; Mass will be at 11 a.m.; lunch will be served at noon; and closing remarks will begin at 2:30 p.m. The speakers will concentrate on issues facing women of the diocese, the Ohio Immigration Legislation Program and women’s role in the election process in our country.
