Technology grants go to schools

YOUNGSTOWN – State Rep. Sandra Stabile Harwood of Niles, D-65th, announced that the eTech Ohio Commission awarded grants to several Trumbull County schools to educate teachers on how to effectively integrate technology in the classroom.

“I am so pleased that this money will be going to assist schools in my district to provide teachers with the expertise to inspire students in the classroom,” Harwood said. “With the use of technology, we can engage and stimulate the minds of students to prepare them to be the leaders of tomorrow.”

These school districts will receive Professional Development Grant funds for fiscal year 2008:

U Girard, $2,970.

U Hubbard, $2,970.

U Lakeview, $2,970.

U Liberty, $2,430.

U Lordstown, $2,070.

U Mathews, $2,430.

U McDonald, $2,430.

U Niles, $2,970.

U Weathersfield, $2,430.
