Liberty’s Isiah Bell verbally commits to Michigan

LIBERTY — Isiah Bell, a junior at Liberty High School, made a verbal commitment Monday to play football for coach Rich Rodriguez at the University of Michigan.

Bell was a free safety and defensive back for Liberty High coach Jeff Whittaker last fall.

Bell was a starter at free safety and played some split end for the Leopards, who went 6-4 in 2007.

“He offers Michigan versatility because of his size and speed. He could play several positions,” Liberty coach Jeff Whittaker said of the strong safety and, free safety positions and possibly outside linebacker.
