Starrs will observe 60th anniversary at dinner party

X COLUMBIANA — Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Starr of Columbiana will be honored by their children as they celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary during an April dinner party at Arrowhead Clubhouse.

The family includes Michalene and Len Weiszer of Poland, Veronica Cochran of North Carolina, Stephanie and Ron Crumbacher of Dayton, Pamela and Brian Roberts of Columbiana and Michael Starr of East Liverpool, along with nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The former Irene Faddock and Mr. Starr were united in marriage Feb. 7, 1948, at Holy Trinity Church in Youngstown. They are members of St. Jude Church, life members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and former members of St. George Church.

Mr. Starr served with the U.S. Navy in Hawaii during World War II and during the Korean conflict. He was a draftsman/engineer at various businesses in the area prior to retiring. His wife is a homemaker.

The couple also had owned and operated a farm southeast of Lisbon.
