Mattesons mark 50th anniversary and plan cruise


X BOARDMAN — Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Matteson are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a June cruise to Bermuda with some of the family. They will also celebrate in July with a family reunion dinner.

Their family consists of four children: Charlene Bass of Naperville, Ill; Darlene (Gary) Fay of Palm Bay, Fla.; Kimberly (Tom) Caputo of Boardman; and Sharon Sheronovich of Boardman. The couple also have eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Matteson and the former Margaret Daichendt were married March 28, 1958, at Market Street Methodist Church in Winchester, Va. They are members of Boardman United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Matteson worked at Livingston’s and Sears in Youngstown before retiring to raise her family.

Mr. Matteson was in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He worked for Commercial Intertech in Youngstown and was manager of the general sales department upon retirement in 1996.
