TIFFIN, Ohio — The newspaper Ziarul Financiar (ZF) provided its first ranking of MBA programs in Romania, and named Tiffin University among the Top Three in a new survey released March 2008.

Ziarul Financiar is a daily financial newspaper published in Bucharest, Romania. Aside from the focus on business information, it features sections focusing on careers.

TU’s program, based at the University of Bucharest, was recognized along with The Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and The Institute for Business and Public Administration from Bucharest (Asebuss).

“The ‘Top MBA’ ranking comprises the final ranking of the programs, as well as ratings built in line with 17 different criteria,” according to ZF.

“It also includes interviews with business school representatives, MBA graduates, and lists the best programs available throughout the world.”

According to Tiffin University President Paul Marion, “We are very proud of the quality of our MBA program and are pleased that it has been recognized as one of the best programs available in Romania.”

“More than 2,000 Romanian managers have completed an MBA or Executive MBA [EMBA] program, most of whom chose local programs. Almost 500 executives will complete MBA and EMBA programs this year.

With this in mind, ZF deemed it essential to launch the first MBA ranking on the Romanian market,” the financial publication announced.

ZF says the ranking was created from almost 300 questionnaires that were filled in last year by graduates of business schools in Romania, which evaluated the programs using several criteria, from salary raises to networking, from promotions to job change.
