Thunder trails 26-23 at halftime

Former Ursuline High graduate Josh Swogger ran for one touchdown and threw for another to lead the Mahoning Valley Thunder, which trailed the Albany Conquest 26-23 at halftime of Saturday's af2 opener at the Chevrolet Centre.

Swogger ran for a 9-yard touchdown and threw for a 7-yard score to Marlon White. Henry Tolber returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown to give the Thunder an early lead but the Conquest scored 19 points in the second quarter to grab the lead.
