LOVELAND, Colo. — Colorado Eagles goaltender Sebastien Laplante stopped all 11 shots he faced in the first period of Saturday’s Central Hockey League playoff game against the Youngstown SteelHounds.
SteelHounds goalie Andy Franck made four saves as the teams skated to a scoreless tie in the opening frame.
Colorado has a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series after rallying on Friday for a 6-4 victory.
The SteelHounds have never won in the Eagles’ rink, going 0-9-1 over the past three seasons.
Games 3-5 will be played at the Chevrolet Centre.
