YOUNGSTOWN — Cornersburg Baptist Church, 3898 Tippecanoe Road, will hold a revival featuring John Franklin, who wrote, “And the Place was Shaken.” The schedule is 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 6 and 7 p.m. April 7-9.
Coffeehouse concert
GIRARD — His Music Connection will host a coffeehouse concert from 6 to 10 tonight at the former theater at 29 W. Liberty St. Bands will be 24 Flames from Akron and A New Creation from Dayton. There also will be refreshments.
Prayer breakfast planned
CAMPBELL — Faith Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 125 Roosevelt Drive, will present a Men of the Church prayer breakfast at 9 a.m. April 5. Co-sponsor is the International Brotherhood of Christian Men. The speaker will be Minister Walter Stewart of Pentecostal House of Prayer from Farrell, Pa. The event is open to the public; there is a $7 donation.
Women’s Day event
WARREN — Grace African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1137 Main Ave. S.W., will observe its annual Women’s Day at the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday. The theme is “Willingness, an Essential Element.” The Rev. Gena Thornton, pastor of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Cleveland, will speak. She is president of Gena Thornton Evangelistic Ministries Inc. and founded the Women of Faith in Action, women ministers and missionaries who serve the Youngstown community.
A choir, directed by Gloria Rodgers, will sing and be accompanied on the piano by Ruth Ann Jones. Dinner will be served in fellowship hall after the service. Jeannie Lockett and Jones are co-chairwomen, and the Rev. Dr. John F. Newby is host pastor.

WARREN — Friendship Baptist Church, 1954 Brier St. S.E., will mark its 87th anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday. Guests will be Pastor Ernest Ellis and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Youngstown. The theme is “From Vision to Victory.” Host pastor is the Rev. Dr. Leon Thompson.

CORNERSBURG — Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America will meet April 5 at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road. Registration will be at 9 a.m. The topic for a panel discussion will be “Bold Women Acting in the Community.” Participants will be from Church Women United, Help Hotline, Midlothian Health Clinic, League of Women Voters, Protestant Family Service, Army National Guard and Youngstown Police Department.
To help wounded soldiers, donations of T-shirts, polo shirts, long sleeve shirts, black shorts, pajamas or sweat pants, 60-minute domestic phone cards, full-size towels and twin bedding are needed. NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Recording artists Blaine Bowman and His Good Time Band will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Temple, located at Epworth United Methodist Church, 805 E. Washington St. Among the repertoire are Christian remakes of popular songs.
Chamber choir to perform
The Wade Raridon Singers, a chamber choir, will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday at Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, and at 2 p.m. April 6 at St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. Choral music of Easter and spring will be featured at the free events.
Jesus ‘The Key’ trips
LEETONIA — Jesus “The Key” ministry will sponsor trips. They include: Lancaster, May 6-7, and includes three shows, two lunches, a breakfast, lodging and bus for $219; Daniel O’Donnell concert, June 7, $99 include dinner, bus and concert; and Collingsworth Family, June 13 at Hartville Kitchen, for $65 and includes bus, dinner and concert. LIBERTY — Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will hold a children’s fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 5. The event for families, originally rescheduled from March but canceled because of weather, will feature games, prizes and food.
Interfaith colloquium
CLEVELAND — The Anti-Defamation Legue and the Cleveland Catholic Diocese will hold its annual interfaith colloquium from 7 to 9 p.m. April 10 at Congregation Sharey Tikvah, 26811 Fairmount Blvd., Beachwood. The topic is “Our Covenant with God: What Does it Mean?” A dessert reception will follow.
