Mercer Raceway’s opener postponed


MERCER, Pa. — Mercer Raceway Park’s season opening “Chiller Thriller” scheduled for Saturday has been postponed to April 5.

Also, the first open practice, scheduled for April 5 has been postponed to April 9.

The “Chiller Thriller” will feature the Steel-Block Late Models for $2,000 to-win, $200 to-start, the open Stock Cars for $1,000 to-win, the debut of the United E-Mod Series for $750 to-win, and the M&D Paving Mini Stocks for $150 to-win. Drivers in the Steel-Block Late Model and Stock Car divisions still have the opportunity to pre-register for $30 and $25 respectively. Forms are available online at mercerracewaypark.com.

Adult admission is $15; students 6-15 are $7; children five and under are free; family pass is $35; and pit passes are $30.

The first five-division weekly “Saturday Night Live” program has been moved to April 12.
