The driver handed over $128, and the boy ran away.

4 boys charged in assault

SHARON, Pa. — Four boys at Sharon High School’s alternative education building were arrested after a fight in a classroom there, Sharon police reported. “Three self-proclaimed gang members tried to fight a rival self-proclaimed gang member,” said police Capt. Travis Martwinski. The fight happened Wednesday morning. Police got the call around 8:15, he said. Martwinski said the fight broke out amid 20 other students. Teachers tried to break it up, and one teacher was struck in the face. He wasn’t seriously injured, Martwinski said.

The boys, two 15, one 14 and one 17, were charged with simple assault, riot and disorderly conduct, he said. The boy who hit the teacher also is charged with aggravated assault. The four were placed in juvenile detention centers, he said. A judge will determine whether they will stay there.
