Troopers are most active in Franklin Co.

COLUMBUS (AP) — A new list from the Ohio State Highway Patrol shows the county that includes Columbus is where troopers have been most active in helping local authorities fight crime.

The patrol says during January and February, its officers recorded their highest numbers of felony arrests and warrants, drug and weapons violations and recovered stolen vehicles in Franklin County.

In second place was southern Ohio’s Scioto County, followed by Butler County north of Cincinnati, Canton and the rest of Stark County, and then Montgomery County, which includes Dayton.

Patrol Superintendent Colonel Richard Collins says every time a trooper makes a criminal arrest, it helps to take drugs, weapons and felons out of Ohio’s communities.
