Patrol probes Route 11 shooting and stabbing
LIBERTY – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the shooting of one man and the stabbing of another early today.
Lt. Joseph Dragovich, commander of the patrol’s Southington post, said the man who was shot was taken to St. Joseph Health Center, and the one stabbed is at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Their conditions weren’t immediately available.
No police officers were injured, he noted.
The patrol was alerted to a shooting on state Route 11, between Tibbett-Wick Road and state Route 82 shortly after 4 a.m. Those injured had already been taken to the hospital.
“We’re trying to establish jurisdiction,” Dragovich said, indicating the injuries were not sustained along Route 11.
