Reunions: Alumni schedule events

• Fairfield Waterford High School Class of 1959 will meet at 6 p.m. Friday at Heck’s in Columbiana.

• South High School January and June Classes of 1946 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. All classmates and their spouses are welcome.

• Vienna Alumni Association is accepting reservations until April 21 for its 91st alumni banquet on April 26 in the cafeteria at Mathews High School. The event will begin with a social hour at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 6. The cost is $11. Checks should be mailed to Jorena Scott Kennedy, 4980 Maple Drive, Vienna, OH 44473.

• Youngstown State University Black Alumni will celebrate the 100th anniversary of YSU and the 10th anniversary of the alumni chapter April 11-13. All events are open to the public. Proceeds from the reunion will benefit the YSU Foundation Black Alumni Scholarship Fund. The schedule is:

— April 11: Registration and kickoff reception, 6 to 9 p.m. in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at YSU, $25.

— April 12: Conference, 8 a.m. to noon at Kilcawley Center, $25; and a tour of campus, 1 to 3 p.m. at University Plaza Gateway, free; and awards dinner and dance, 6 to 11 p.m. at Mahoning Country Club, 710 Liberty St., Girard. $40.

— April 13: Worship service, 10:40 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman St., Youngstown.
