SteelHounds date set

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown SteelHounds will open the Central Hockey League playoffs on Friday at 9:05 p.m. against the Colorado Eagles in Loveland, Colo.

Saturday’s Game 2 also will be played there at the same time.

The SteelHounds and Eagles will play Games 3 and 4 at the Chevrolet Centre on April 1 and April 3. If necessary, Game 5 will be there on April 4.

If necessary, Games 6 and 7 will be played in Colorado on April 8-9.

The SteelHounds swept the Eagles in their final three regular-season games to earn the Northern Conference’s third seed. The point that the Eagles earned in Saturday’s 3-2 shootout loss made them Northwest Division champions and gives them the second seed plus home-ice advantage.
