Pupil admits making threat

MADISON, Ohio (AP) — Police say a 15-year-old pupil has acknowledged making a bomb threat against her Northeast Ohio middle school on the day of Ohio’s primary elections.

Police say the pupil wrote a bomb threat against Madison Middle School on March 4. Police were called to the school with bomb-sniffing dogs and voting was stopped for 90 minutes.

Police interviewed the girl Saturday and say she acknowledged making the threat. Officials are not releasing her name because she is a minor.

She was released to a guardian and could face fines. If she were an adult, the incident could have carried a five-year prison sentence or a $10,000 fine.
