Medricks celebrate 50th anniversary with their family

X POLAND — Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Medrick of Poland, formerly of Mooresville, N.C., were the guests of honor at a family dinner party March 22 in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Medrick and the former Dortha Jean McDaniel were united in marriage March 20, 1958, in Oakland, Md.

Mrs. Medrick was a registered nurse in Tallahassee, Fla., before becoming a homemaker.

Mr. Medrick served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Browning-Ferris Industries in 1994 after 23 years as a district manager.

The Medricks have three children. They and their spouses are Lisa and Brian Ferguson of Concord, N.C.; Mike and Jen Medrick of Canfield; and Mark Medrick of Wilmington, Del.
