Jennifer Myers and Jaret Gibbons set Aug. wedding

X YOUNGSTOWN — Dave and Peggy Myers, 2675 S. Schenley Ave., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Myers, of 996 Hartford Village Blvd., Columbus, to Jaret Gibbons, 930 Bridge Street, Ellwood City, Pa.

State Rep. Gibbons is the son of Carol Gibbons of the same address and the late Ralph Gibbons.

The bride-to-be graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in integrated social studies for secondary education, and she earned a master’s degree in middle-school education, both from Youngstown State University. She is employed as a teacher and forensics director at Northeastern Local Schools in Springfield.

Rep. Gibbons graduated summa cum laude from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and business administration. He attended law school at the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated cum laude with a juris doctorate and certificate in comparative and international law. He serves as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

The couple plan to marry on Aug. 16.
