Related to flooding

Ohioans who have died in recent days from flooding around the state:

David Cottrill, 53, drove his pickup truck into floodwaters early Thursday in Vinton in southeast Ohio and the truck was swept away; he managed to get out but drowned.

Cindy George, 54, drove into a flooded area in southwest Ohio on Wednesday, abandoned her vehicle and clung for hours to a tree; she died at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington from what authorities believe was hyperthermia.

Betty Lou Wood, 65, apparently drowned early Wednesday in Hamilton County’s Whitewater Township in southwest Ohio after checking on her home’s sump pump.
