Firefighters’ golf outing to be memorial fundraiser

SALEM — Youngstown Professional Firefighters Local 312 will sponsor a golf outing May 12 at Salem Hills Golf Country Club, 12688 Salem Warren Road, beginning with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will be used to repair and beautify the Fallen Firefighters Memorial, across from the Station No. 1 firehouse.

The cost for the scramble format is $280 per foursome and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, a steak dinner and refreshments after golf. Highlights include door prizes, skins, cash prizes for the top three teams, and a 50-50 raffle.

Hole sponsors are being sought at a cost of $100, $500 and $1,000 per hole. Any person or business donating $1,000 or more will receive two hole sponsors and a foursome. Corporations and businesses receive a tax deduction. All money is due May 5.

Archery shoots, breakfast at conservation club

BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Tri-District Conservation Club, 1953 Sharon Hogue Road, has scheduled two-day archery shoots for April 19-20, May 17-18, and Aug. 16 and 17.

Registration for the public events will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. The cost is $10 for adults and free for youths under 12. No range finders are permitted.

In conjunction with the shoots, all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfasts will be served from 7 a.m. to noon each day. Meals are $6 for adults and $3 for children. After noon hot dogs or hamburgers can be purchased at the kitchen.
