On today's show, Louie Free, Vindy.com's news radio partner, will talk about Youngstown's Operation Cease Fire with Dr. David Kennedy of John J. College in New York City, a developer of the Cease Fire Program.

When the city first announced that Youngstown was going to utilize Operation Cease Fire — a coordinated, citywide strategy aimed at deterring juvenile and gang firearm violence, Louie contacted local officials to come on the show and explain the program and promote its use in our community. Frustrated with the lack of response from city officials, he then contacted Dr. Kennedy.
