Reaction - Terrelle Pryor
Reaction from around the country on Ohio State landing Terrelle Pryor:

I don’t want to oversimplify things, but Ohio State just landed Tim Tebow. I know, I know, Terrelle Pryor hasn’t taken a snap of college football and is the evil concoction of some recruitnik analyst still living in his mother’s basement. I get it; let’s moveforward. Pryor, the nation’s No. 1 recruit, can do for Ohio State what Tebow did for Florida in 2006: Make a good team great with an extra dimension at the most important position on the field. For all the criticism of Ohio State’s defense in the last two national title games, its offense looked pedestrian in the two blowout losses.

Troy Smith, redux. More obviously physically talented than Smith was, Pryor’s assumed rise into the QB spot at OSU means you’ll see an offense there much like the one run when the 2006 Heisman winner was there. They’ll work from spread formations, keep defenses off-balance with the run threat from Pryor, and score reckless amounts of points if he develops as many suspect he will.

The commitment itself elevates the 2008 recruiting class from great to dominating, and the Buckeyes have probably only had one commitment ever that challenges the magnitude of this: Greg Oden.

Mega-recruit Terrelle Pryor has finally, after six long, painful weeks, made a decision. And it’s exactly the news Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez and his team didn’t want to hear. That’s right. For up to the next four years (I guess the Wolverine faithful can still hold out for a Maurice Clarett-esque early departure) Pryor’s helmet will be littered with buckeye stickers.

By choosing Ohio State over Michigan, Pryor probably delayed his debut as a starter by a year. He also gave himself the best chance to succeed.
