Library fundraiser is annual tea time
POLAND — The Annual Spring Tea Fundraiser will take place at 1 p.m. April 20 in the meeting room at Poland Library, 311 S. Main St.
Those attending may take their own special teacup and wear a favorite hat. They will sip tea while listening to piano music and a talk by Penny Lauer, author of “Bottled Butterfly.” The novel, set in 1930s and 1940s rural Ohio, depicts the issues faced by young women of the time. A raffle also will take place.
The event costs $20 per person and benefits the Springfield Library and programs of the Friends of the Public Library of Youngstown Mahoning County. For more information or reservations, call the library’s development office at (330) 744-8636, Ext. 118.
