Flooding closes two Warren Township roads

LEAVITTSBURG — Two Warren Township roads have been closed to traffic because of flooding. The roads closed are Meadowbrook Drive and Turner Road.

The township fire department that takes measurements of the Mahoning River at North Leavitt Road said the river at 10 a.m. today was at 13.65 feet. Flood stage is 10 feet.

The department said the National Weather Service has determined the river will crest at 13 to 14 feet. Some streets, such as Layer Road, are experiencing high water but are passable, the fire department said.
