Dancer’s ‘Living in Black’ at Kent-Trumbull campus

WARREN — The debut performance of “Living In Black,” a dramatic play in the art form known as choreopoem, will be 7:30 p.m. March 28 and 29 at Kent State University-Trumbull Campus in Lecture Hall A in the Administration Building. “Living in Black” was written, choreographed and directed by Youngstown native Andria Williams. It speaks to the soul, struggle and triumphs of black America. Van Halen reschedules Mellon Arena concert

PITTSBURGH — The Van Halen concert originally scheduled for March 21 has been rescheduled for April 30 at Mellon Arena. The Pittsburgh concert, and 16 others, were postponed because of guitarist Eddie Van Halen’s health. Tickets purchased for the March 21 will be honored at the April 30 show.

Struthers student to record in Nashville

STRUTHERS — Candace Campana, a junior at Struthers High School, will be recording in Nashville, Tenn., next week as part of her contract with Dixiana Music. Candace will record three songs which her agent, Phil Lister, will use to market her. The daughter of T.J. and Debbie Campana of Struthers, Candace is active in Easy Street Productions and the Struthers High Show Choir, Drama Club, National Honor Society and 4-H.

Polka dance scheduled

CORTLAND — “The Polka Show,” which airs on WKTX AM-830, is holding a polka dance from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garden Brook Party Center on Route 5. Admission is $8.
