HUBBARD

March 12

Drug paraphernalia: The manager of a West Liberty Street apartment complex turned over to police suspected drug paraphernalia she found while cleaning an apartment.

March 13

Arrest: A traffic stop in the 2000 block of North Main Street resulted in a Hubbard man’s arrest. He was wanted on a warrant from Geauga County charging him with failure to report to jail.

Theft: A Mock Street woman reported mail stolen from her mailbox.

Theft: The driver of a Buick Rendezvous left Hubbard Gas Mini Mart, 175 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, without paying for gasoline.

March 14

Theft: An undisclosed amount of money was taken from Devine’s Shop ‘n’ Save, 529 N. Main St.

March 15

Theft: A woman and a man, no information given, were arrested after merchandise was stolen from Family Dollar, 437 E. Liberty St.

March 16

Theft: A West Park Avenue man reported the theft of a credit card.

Criminal mischief: A Hubbard man, no street listed, called police after someone dumped nails on his driveway.

LIBERTY

March 12

Drug paraphernalia: A Girard woman, 31, was taken into custody in the 6700 block of Belmont Avenue on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension. An item for a crack cocaine pipe and a suspected crack pipe filter were found, police said.

Arrest: A 35-year-old woman was picked up at her Logan Arms Drive home on felony charges of passing a bad check and theft by deception.

March 13

Theft: An employee with Cocca’s Pizza, 1494 W. Liberty St., told officers two people at a Hubbard address gave a delivery driver a phony $50 bill for an order.

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 50, was charged, accused in the theft of an $8 hair product from Dollar General, 3551 Belmont Ave.

March 15

Drugs: While serving a felony warrant to a 26-year-old James Lane man, authorities also charged him with a felony count of trafficking in marijuana after saying they found two bags of suspected marijuana packaged for sale as well as a piece of paper with markings that appeared to be related to drug transactions.

March 17

Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a building in the 10 block of Colonial Drive and crawled through a ceiling to gain entry to an office. Nothing appeared to be missing, though.

Domestic violence: Authorities arrested and charged a 31-year-old Fifth Avenue man after a woman alleged he repeatedly struck her in the face, choked her and tossed her to the floor and kicked the accuser in the stomach during an argument.

GIRARD

March 15

Theft: A Girard man returned to a West Liberty Street business and found his $1,000 laptop computer missing.

Auto theft: A Crumlin Avenue man reported his 1992 Buick Century stolen while at a South State Street business.

Truck theft: A North Lima man reported his fianc√©e’s 1989 Chevrolet truck was stolen after it had broken down on Interstate 80.

March 16

Burglary: A man in the 500 block of Trumbull Avenue accused a woman, 27, of breaking into his residence via a window and stealing $295, a gift card and a credit card.

Aggravated menacing: An Emma Street woman told police a Bradford, Pa., woman threatened over the phone to kill the accuser regarding the Pennsylvania woman’s husband.

March 17

Theft: A Trumbull Avenue woman reported six antique gold coins stolen from a dresser.

Theft: Someone removed two copper down spouts from the rear of Trinity Lutheran Church, 78 E. Liberty St.

March 18

Theft: A West Liberty Street man reported a compact-disc player, two amplifiers and two 12-inch subwoofers stolen from his car. The theft came to $900.
