Warren police make arrest in break-ins at law offices
WARREN – Police have captured a homeless man they say participated in at least four of nine break-ins of downtown attorney offices since the first of the year.
Ademilson Smith, 25, formerly of Kinsman, was arrested Sunday evening while walking along Parkman Road.
He was arraigned this morning before municipal Judge Terry Ivanchak. He is being held in the county jail on a $3,500 bond with preliminary hearings scheduled for March 28 on four counts of breaking and entering and one count of receiving stolen property.
Police declined to say which break-ins Smith allegedly participated in because they are looking for others who may have been involved.
Items taken included money, firearms and electronic equipment. In most of the burglaries, an object such as a brick was used to break a window.
Smith, although formerly of Kinsman, is homeless or staying with others when he could, police said.
