Police will be on roads in force today

If your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations include alcohol, the Mahoning County Operating Vehicle Impaired Task Force wants you to know that police will be out in force from 5 to 10 p.m. today to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The task force suggests you plan ahead and designate a sober driver or make other arrangements to get home safely. The task force will also have a sobriety checkpoint from 9 p.m. Saturday until 1 a.m. Sunday somewhere in Mahoning County.
