Hotline crisis center awarded $10,000

YOUNGSTOWN — Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc. was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Episcopal Community Services Foundation of Cleveland. The hotline was sponsored by St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave.

The funding will cover the cost of a senior hotline, which provides 24-hour-day, seven-day-a-week coverage for the 55 and older population in Mahoning and Columbiana counties. The hotline provides information and referrals along with suicide intervention services and crisis intervention. An outreach worker is available to provide additional support to this population.
