CARD/BINGO PARTIES

• Sacred Heart Church, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown, is having a Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament April 12. Admission is $100 with 3300 chips; pay in advance by March 29 and receive $300 in extra chips. The fee includes a home-cooked meal and beverage. FUNDRAISERS

• Holy Family Home and School Alliance is selling tickets for a reverse raffle and dinner to be held at 6:30 p.m. April 5 at The Georgetown in Boardman. Tickets are $75, which includes a raffle ticket and dinner at 7:30. The grand prize is $3,000, and there will be many other chances to win. There will be an open bar. SALES

• Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.

TRIPS

• Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild is sponsoring a bus trip to the Cleveland Sewing Expo at the I-X Center on March 28. Pickups will be at 6:30 a.m. at Austintown Wal-Mart, 7 at Niles Super K, and 7:15 at Champion Big Lots. Arrival at the expo will be by 9 a.m., and departure will be at 6:15 p.m. The bus fee is $23 for members and $26 for nonmembers. Each person is responsible for his or her own class fees and dinner on the way home. Reservations are limited and taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
