Mackenzie Schaffer, Rollen Smith III set June 21 wedding

X Mackenzie Schaffer of 1917 3rd St. S.E., Canton, and Rollen T. Smith III of 437 Ferndale Ave., Youngstown, announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Connie Schaffer of Columbiana and Bob and Debbie Schaffer of Greenford. The prospective groom is the son of Wayne D. Cole of Youngstown and Rollen Smith II, also of Youngstown.

The couple plan to marry in an open ceremony at 2 p.m. June 21 at New Bethel Baptist Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for a reception that evening at Antone’s Banquet Centre in Boardman.

Miss Schaffer has a bachelor’s degree in middle-childhood education from Malone College in Canton. She is employed by East Akron YMCA Phoenix School as a high-school English and history teacher.

Mr. Smith, also a Malone College graduate, has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and works for Canton City Schools as a second-grade teacher.
