Limelight: Valley awards and achievements
YOUNGSTOWN — The 2008 Jury of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects elevated Youngstown architect Gary G. Balog to its prestigious College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made significant contributions to the profession. Balog will be honored at a ceremony at Boston’s Old South Church on May 16 during the 2008 AIA National Convention. Out of a total membership of 83,000 and a total of 101,183 registered architects, there are fewer than 2,650 distinguished with the honor of Fellowship.
SALEM — George Morris III of Salem has been named to the Million Dollar Round Table, an international independent association of more than 35,000 life insurance and financial services professionals. He is a 14-year member. Members must adhere to a code of ethics, be recognized for customer service and be a member of at least one other industry association.
