Time-Warner cable service restored

Time-Warner cable customers shut down

YOUNGSTOWN — Several subscribers to Time-Warner Cable had their service restored late tonight.

The cable television and high-speed Internet provider was swamped with calls, and a customer service representative said the wait for a callback to customers was between 25 to 39 minutes. The service went down around 5:15 p.m.

A spokesman said a damaged line in the downtown area caused the outage, but there was no explanation how the line was damaged.
