These egg hunts offer Easter fun

MAHONING COUNTY

Austintown: Highway Tabernacle Church, 3000 S. Raccoon Road. Community Easter Egg Hunt, noon March 22. Free and open to the community and surrounding areas. For first- through sixth-grade children. For more information, call (330) 792-3000.

Boardman: Camelot Arms Care Center, first Easter Story Time Bunny Trail, 5-7 p.m. March 20 for children of all ages. Travel down the bunny trail meeting characters and hearing their stories before receiving Easter goodies at each stop. Pictures with characters, $1.

Campbell: Optimist Club, serving the communities of Lincoln Knolls, Campbell, Coitsville and Lowellville, will sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. today at Roosevelt Park. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance at 1:30. For children ages 1-10. Prizes will be awarded in four age brackets.

New Middletown: Free Methodist Community Church, 9900 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Easter Egg Hunt 2-3 p.m. March 22. Attend early to register for prizes. There will be music, drama, refreshments and candy-filled eggs. For children through grade 6. There is no cost. (330) 542-3732.

Struthers: Struthers High School Football Stadium, east side of the stadium (Garfield entrance closed). Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. March 22. Park in Euclid Avenue Parking lot and follow to Euclid Avenue turnabout entrance gate.

Youngstown: Mill Creek MetroParks’ annual Easter Eggstravaganza is 11:30 a.m. Saturday on the Judge Morley Pavilion lawn in Wick Recreation Area. The hunt is for children 4-10 years old. The Easter Bunny will visit a hunt open for children 2-3 years old and their parents. An adult egg toss will be after the hunt. Youngstown: Metro Assembly Church, 2530 South Ave., Easter Eggstravaganza at 1 p.m. today for preschool ages 2-5 and elementary ages 6-11. Egg hunt, supersized Easter baskets, games and prizes. Call (330) 782-2070 for more information.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

Girard: Girard City Gym. City of Girard Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. March 22 for children ages 2-9 who live in Girard.

Liberty: Liberty Township Administration Building. Easter Bunny will arrive at 10 a.m. March 22. There will be prizes and candy. You may take your camera for pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Warren: Alliance Community Outreach Program Center, 2051 Niles Road S.E., Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. March 24. The event is free and open to children under 12. It is sponsored by Trumbull County Children Services and ACOP Center with egg and candy donations received from the community. There will be prizes. There is no rain date. Lordstown: The Fraternal Order of Police Trumbull South Lodge 115 will have an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lordstown Middle School, Salt Springs Road and state Route 45. Members of the police department are being asked to report to the police department by 11:30 a.m.

COLUMBIANA COUNTY

East Palestine: East Palestine City Park. East Palestine Rotary Club annual Easter Egg Hunt at noon March 22, for four age groups: pre-school, kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade, and fourth and fifth grade. There will be eggs, candy, prizes, gift certificates and small toys. There also will be an all-you-can-eat pancake-and-sausage breakfast at the park’s Community Center from 9 to 11 a.m. for everyone. The Easter Bunny will attend. Cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. Matted pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available from 11 a.m. to noon at $6 each.
