BELOIT — West Branch High School Choral Parents will serve spaghetti dinners from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the high school cafeteria to raise funds for the choral program. Meals will include meatballs, Italian salad, bread and beverages. Patrons are asked to provide containers for carryouts. Tickets for the dinner are $7 and can be purchased at the door, from any choir member or at the choral office at the school, 14277 Main St.
A free public pops concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium. West Branch Freshmen Choir will sing “Choral Highlights” from “Jersey Boys” and “You’re the One That I Want” from “Grease”; the Sophomore Glee Ensemble will perform a medley, titled “Leading Ladies that Stole the Show,” and “Hopelessly Devoted to You” from “Grease”; and West Branch Concert Choir will sing “People” from “Funny Girl,” “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from “Hairspray,” “Everybody Rejoice” from “The Wiz” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from “The Lion King.”
Free spa day offered at senior center
WARREN — SCOPE Howland Senior Center, 8273 High St. N.E., is sponsoring a free Pampering Spa Day at noon March 26 for Trumbull County area women.
The event is co-sponsored by Back to Health Center. Serenity Mobil Spas will offer clients hand massages, makeup for spring and hot neck massages, and the event will also include simple manicures by Darla Moore of Impressions, foot reflex and massages by Holly Powell, arthritis stretching instructions and body maneuvers by Jen’s Fitness Center, back and neck massages by Dynell Keller and spinal examinations by Back to Health. A healthy full-course lunch from noon to 2 p.m. will be $5.

Youth Style Show, luncheon at church
WARREN — Young people from several area churches will serve as models for a Youth Style Show at 1 p.m. today at Grace A.M.E. Church, 1137 Main Ave. S.W.
The Women’s Day Committee of the church is sponsoring the event. The donation is $10 and tickets are available at the door.
Letter carriers set date for annual food drive
YOUNGSTOWN — The National Association of Letter Carriers has scheduled its 16th Annual Food Drive for May 10. Along with the U.S. Postal Service, sponsors are Campbell’s Soup, Valpak, AFL-CIO, United Way and Second Harvest Food Bank.
On that day, letter carriers will pick up food customers leave near their mailboxes to donate to food pantries. All food stays in the city in which it is collected.
Bowling fundraiser to benefit youngsters
NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lawrence County is sponsoring its 14th annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser from noon to 5 p.m. April 5 at Colonial Lanes on Wilmington Road. Food and entertainment will be provided.
Proceeds from the event will go directly to matching mentors with young people in Lawrence County.

Park Vista, senior center plan an art extravaganza
YOUNGSTOWN — Park Vista and the Mahoning County Senior Center will host a Senior Art Show Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 10 at Park Vista’s Gathering Room, 1216 Fifth Avenue. The event will feature art created by area seniors, and will include watercolors, acrylics, oils, wood, photography, textiles and ceramic entries.
The Butler Institute of American Art will display a selection of masterpieces, and docents will provide information.
Bob Barko Jr., from the Steel Town Studios Gallery, will present his collection, which includes a 24-foot mural depicting the history of Youngstown, along with artwork featuring Idora Park, Isaly’s, Mill Creek Park, downtown theaters and steel mills.
Pianist Joo Hwa and violinist Karen Considine from the Dana School of Music will play music to complement the show.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served, and those who attend can register for door prizes.
Maple syrup and pancakes on Boardman Park menu
BOARDMAN — Boardman Township Park and Boardman Rotary are sponsoring the 31st Annual Maple Syrup and Pancake Breakfast Festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 29 and 30 and April 5 and 6.
Among the many activities will be old-fashioned mapling demonstrations, hayrides, Civil War re-enactors and woodcarvers.
The cost of the pancake breakfast is $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. All other activities are free.
This year, the Boardman Rotary will have a pancake eating contest at 3 p.m. March 29. Get entry forms at the Boardman park office. The cost to enter is $5 for an individual and $10 for a team of three or fewer.
Prizes will be awarded for the best individual and the best team. Teams can also participate in raising funds for their organization by selling tickets to the pancake festival. Of each adult ticket sold, $1 will be donated to the school or organization selling tickets.
