Catholic Charities helping ice storm victims
YOUNGSTOWN — Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Youngstown is striving to provide short- and long-term assistance to residents of Ashtabula County who were impacted by ice storms that occurred March 4 and 5.
Catholic Charities of Ashtabula County is working with various governmental, community and faith-based disaster agencies to assist the families in Ashtabula County affected by the storms and floods. Diocesan Catholic Charities staff is awaiting word from Catholic Charities USA, the official domestic Catholic disaster relief agency, approving its request for special emergency disaster funds.
Donations to support Catholic Charities flood relief efforts in Ashtabula County may be sent to: Catholic Charities Ice Storm Relief Collection, c/o Office of Social Action, Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, 144 W. Wood Street, Youngstown, Ohio 44503.
