YOUNGSTOWN — Three Toledo men have been indicted by the Mahoning County grand jury in a Feb. 2 home burglary on East Parkside Drive in Boardman.
Lennon M. Burgess, 18; Christopher M. Williams, 19; and his brother, Richard J. Williams, 21, were indicted Thursday on charges of burglary with a firearm specification and four counts of theft. Burgess is additionally charged with failure to comply with a police order.
A 17-year-old girl, who noticed an unfamiliar car in the driveway when she arrived at her parents’ residence and saw two people moving about in the house, parked a few houses away and called her parents and police.
After three men entered the car, she noted a partial license plate and described the car to police, who found and pursued the vehicle at speeds up to 70 mph to state Route 46 and Green Beaver Road, where Burgess stopped and the three men were arrested.
Police found four guns on the back seat and floor of the car along with two rolls of silver dollars. When the homeowner took inventory, he found guns missing and others out of place.
