Vindicator Spelling Bee Saturday; St. Patrick’s Day parade Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN — If you are looking for activities to attend this weekend, don’t forget the 75th annual Vindicator Regional Spelling Bee will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University.

A total of 70 children will participate, but only one will qualify to go to Washington, D.C., in late May to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Kelly Pavlik is grand marshal for the 30th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday in Boardman. The parade route runs along Market Street from McClurg Road to Southwoods Avenue.
