SteelHounds rally for 3-2 win

YOUNGSTOWN — Power-play goals by Steve Birnstill and Petr Pohl rallied the Youngstown SteelHounds to a 3-2 victory over the Laredo Bucks Friday at the Chevrolet Centre.

The win gives the SteelHounds 75 points, tying them with the Rocky Mountain Rage for third place in the Central Hockey League’s Northern Conference standings. The top five teams in the conference qualify for the postseason which begins in less than two weeks.

Goaltender Andy Franck stopped 17 shots to earn his 22nd win.
