Symphony ticket holders have three options

YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra was unable to find a date to reschedule the March 8 concert, with guest pianist Olga Kern, because of Kern's prior commitments. The concert was canceled because of the snow storm.

The Symphony Society will attempt to reschedule Kern some time in the 2009-10 season.

Because the concert will not be rescheduled, ticket holders have three options. They can return their tickets to the DeYor Performing Arts Center box office. Subscribers will be eligible for a prorated subscription refund. Single tickets holders will be eligible for the value of the ticket refund (minus handling fee).

Ticket holders may also exchange their tickets for the April 5 Pops Concert with the Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Ensemble or the May 3 Beethoven Symphony No. 9 Masterworks Concert. (Exchange tickets will be determined by seat availability).

Ticket holders also have the option of releasing their tickets and receiving a tax deductible contribution acknowledgement for the value of the tickets.
